Protecting Yourself

Protecting Yourself

Protecting a Coach’s work on Elevate Golf starts with clarity, fit, and scope. A strong Tip addresses the Player’s Focus Area directly, offers one or two actionable points, and keeps wording plain - see Tone & wording. A brief nod to the issue is fine, but there is no need to repeat the request. Time is better spent on the fix.

Delivery must match what the Player asked for. If the request specifies a Format (Annotated, Demo, Written), Tone, or Style, the Tip should follow that choice exactly. Respecting these preferences increases understanding and reduces the chance of misunderstandings in Ratings & Reviews.

Profile accuracy is another layer of protection. Keeping Focus Areas current and representative helps the right Players choose the right Coach. For presenting strengths clearly on the profile, see Highlighting Specialities.

If clarity is needed after delivery, use the one-time path set out in the Clarification Process via a Clarification Request. This keeps the exchange contained and avoids back-and-forth outside the set flow.

Platform standards apply throughout. The Fair Play Guarantee, Acceptable Use Policy, and The Coach Agreement protect both sides by setting clear rules for conduct, scope, and quality. In a review under Refunds & Cancellations, the original request, delivered Tip, and Clarification Request are considered. Working within these boundaries helps safeguard the Coach’s work while keeping the experience fair and focused on progress.
