Coach Impact

Earnings on Elevate Golf are released at the moment a Tip is requested. This reflects a partnership model, not a supplier model. A Tip must still be delivered. If a refund is approved, earnings are reversed, and payment processing costs are settled so the Player is made whole.

How PayPal fees work on refunds;

·        PayPal treats the original transfer to the Coach as a successful payment. Its processing fee (typically 5%–6% + $0.05) is not returned by PayPal.

·        Elevate Golf refunds its own platform fee to the Player.

·        The Coach covers the PayPal processing fee on any refunded Tip, in addition to returning the Tip amount received.

·        If the Coach’s PayPal balance is insufficient, the Player is still refunded. PayPal then recovers the amount from the Coach’s next incoming funds or directly from the linked bank account.

When this applies;

·        Non-delivery or other approved refunds under the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

·        Coach-agreed refunds.

·        Panel-decided refunds after review by the Coach Panel against the Fair Play Guarantee.

Process safeguards;

A one-time Clarification Request is encouraged first - see the Clarification Process. Timing expectations follow the Coach’s Average Response Time plus the additional 48-hour window set in refund rules. Decisions are evidence-based, considering the original request, the delivered Tip (if any), and the clarification.

Simple example;

If a Player paid $4 and PayPal’s microtransaction fee was 5% + $0.05 (that is $0.25), then:

·        Net after PayPal fees is $3.75.

·        Coach earnings are 85% of $3.75 = $3.1875.

·        If the Tip is refunded, the Coach returns $3.1875 and covers the $0.25 PayPal fee, so $3.4375 is taken from the Coach.

·        Elevate Golf separately returns its platform fee to the Player.
