A well-structured Tip is clear, focused, and easy for a
Player to apply. The goal is not to overwhelm with detail but to give advice
that can be understood and put into action straight away. Players value Tips
that are simple to follow, specific to their request, and delivered in a
supportive tone.
Start with a short introduction that acknowledges the
Player’s question or video. This shows that you have understood their challenge
and are responding personally. You do not need to recite everything they said,
simply take note of it.
Next, explain the key point of focus. Much as there may be
many issues to fix (which you can mention) the idea is to keep it to one main
thing, maybe two if they are related. Remember, it is just a Tip and breaking
advice into smaller, achievable steps makes progress more realistic.
Finally, suggest a drill, practice method, or mental cue the
Player can use immediately. This turns the Tip from theory into action. Keep
the video or written response concise, to a maximum of two minutes, so Players
can replay it easily during practice.
By structuring a Tip in this way, Coaches provide advice
that feels professional, personal, and motivating. It shows Players that every
Tip they receive is a step forward in their journey.
